How You Can Help
Today, The Foundation offering funding for scientific research is on the threshold of a new era and focus: supporting those who contribute to the field of infectious disease research, diagnosis and treatment; expanding financial support to research institutions that are making important breakthroughs in antibiotics, anti-viral and anti-fungal drugs and treatment regimens. Funded initially by Dr. Smith and his family, the mandate of The Foundation has expanded its reach from its humble beginnings in Newark, NJ and now encompassing many poverty-stricken regions throughout the world.
Over the years, Dr. Smith and his family have provided the majority of the funding for the Foundation and has grown its mission to provide clinical and medical care for those suffering from infectious diseases in Newark and surrounding areas.
As the need for, and scope of, the services provided by the Smith Infectious Disease Foundation grows, this important work can only be successfully accomplished with the financial support of generous, caring people like you!
